Niseko, Hokkaido is a famous ski resort in Japan known for having piles of light powder snow annually. They receive the “Siberian Pennisula” effect which can see over 1 meter in some single day snowfall. We enjoyed a good variety of powder and groomed days. The ski runs are towards beginner/intermediate level along great tree runs.
The resort is about 2.5 hours via bus rom Sapporo airport and the mountain village itself is great attraction with many Japanese onsens & delicious local eateries.
This was a planned visit prior to leaving Vancouver. It was one of our “must see” for this journey and Niseko was an incredible snowboard experience that we will look forward to again.
