We arrived in Hong Kong during the week before Christmas for a short stay before heading to Manila for Christmas & New Years with family. Our itinerary is sometimes directed by flights and stopovers. Since we flew Cathay Pacific from Siem Reap, it was an easy decision to head into HK as we always enjoy visits here.
Hong Kong’s hustle & bustle was on high since it’s Christmas week. We were greeted with many Christmas lights, jingles in every store and shopping! During this long term travel, we only shop for items needed for the journey. Simply because there is no luggage space and keeps our budget in check.
Since we are going to Manila for Christmas, there were a few items to purchase for presents so we happily joined the crowds to check off our list.
After the eating & shopping, we headed to Happy Valley race course to catch a few horse races as it’s a popular pastime for the locals.
